Detroit City Council Districts

The primary election is coming up August 6, 2013 and candidates in each district will be reduced to those headed to the vote on November 5, 2013. Your candidate needs support to make it forward to the next stage of the voting process.

This is the first election using City Council Districts. Voter education is needed.

Step 1: Know Your District

The interactive map shown here is from Data Driven Detroit, which has a PDF containing detailed maps for each district. These are incredibly helpful in canvassing efforts. A simple map showing the districts is included below.

  1. I have been searching for information for MU about which polling sites are the most crowded in order to help them figure out where to put the most people for their RBO initiative, but I have been hitting a big fat blank. I can look at stats from the last election and see where the most voters turned out by district, but that doesn't necessarily translate in to busiest polling places, plus there are 7 rather than 8 districts now. Who knew this assignment would be so difficult?
